I'm stressing out. I have surgery on Friday but seem to have caught a cold or sinus infection. I have drainage in the back of my throat which is causing some throat irritation. I'm going to call the doctor's office when it opens and find out if this could cause the operation to be delayed.

Does anyone have any insight to share?

No insight, just sympathetic. I was sick as a dog for the past week (surgery in Monday) but had time to get a Z-pack going and am finally feeling better. Still congested a little, and have that drip, but am determined to have it gone by Monday!

I recommend getting the Mucinex liquid and taking it every 4 hours without missing a dose. My friend swore by this, so I did it and I seem to be over my "crud" just in time for surgery on Monday. Hope you feel better!

And saline or a netty pot--- get rid of it-- you will have issues later because of anesthesia. I had one 2 weeks prior and did simple colonoscopy n paid dearly for it after, they said if I had mentioned it, they would have mixed the stuff bit different, i thought it's gone so no problem- but I woke up throwing up flem like crazy,,, so have it checked out.
