New to LBT

Hello everyone, my name is Angela, I am a single mother of two-yr-old twin boys. I am almost 200 lbs overweight. I have been to the emergency room 3 times since September 2005. I have been told I have acid reflux disease and costochondritis. I was told these conditions would subside if I were to lose weight. Well as you all know that is easier said than done. I have been trying to lose weight since about the sixth grade. I have recently submitted my paperwork to be approved for the lab band. Please keep your fingers crossed that I get approved.

will keep you in prayers amich96, I to have been waiting for my surgery date. I submitted all the paperwork seen all the doctors that need to be seen now just waiting for the date and the band. I hav also 200 over and can hardly wait to have the tool that will help me as I loose the weight.

Hang in there and have a grt day, for God holds the future and he already knows the answers.

Hey Ya'll. I just had my surgery last week, and it has been a big change for me. I was denied and decided that I had to find the money to do it as a cash-patient. I was terrified of the health complications that would result from my continued weight, so I had to find a way to make it happen. I too have quite a bit to lose.

Good luck to both of you on your approvals. If insurance does not cover it, consider the cash option. I know it is hard, but your health is far more important than anything else.

Best of luck to you with your approval and welcome to the board!
