Vitamins

Greetings All!

I am 3 weeks post-op and I absolutely hate my Vitamins. I am taking the Bariatric Advantage Vitaband chewables and they are just terrible. I have spoken with my doctor about the Calcium supplement and I have a substitute for it, but I am still looking for an alternative to the Vitaband multi-Vitamin. Any suggestions???

Thank you!

Bibi,

I hated those also I now take vita fusion chewable they also have vita fusion b12 chewable I get them at Walmart

i get chewable multi vitamins and calcium chewables at walmart. they taste okay to me. (kinda fruit flavored).

I take the Women's One a Day Petites. They are tablets about half the size of a normal one, so you take two daily instead of one.

I would not recommend them for anyone who has problems with pills and their band, though.

Bariatric Fusion are pretty good. They come in a variety of flavors and although not as cheap as OTC they are not gonna break the bank.

When looking for vitamins i was told to look for multi vitamins with vitamins AND minerals. Most just say vitamins. Vitafusions are yummy though, especially the multivites. I look forward to taking them. I take two a day and i even space them out so i get to enjoy them twice a day :) It's my little sweet candy-like treat

I agree that the BA multi-vtamins and Calcium Citrate are terrible tasting. I grind mine up and pour in a glass the I pour a Chocolate protein shake in the glass. Works great.

Thank you all for the recommendations. I guess I am surprised that most of you are taking OTC Vitamins. Surprised, but relieved that I don't have to spend $32 for vitamins from GNC! I think I will compare a few OTC against the BA and go from there.

Thank you again!

I love these Vitamins too.

I i use celebrate brand chewables. They also have other bariatric items. I order online. Way better than nasty bariatric advantagr.

I go online to Vitacost.com and get mine. The prices are so low and they have so many choices. A friend of mine who had gastric surgery years ago suggested it to me.
