It happens. I don't know how "common" it is... but ports can flip, tilt, turn, etc. It may be possible for them to access it under fluoroscopy. If not, you may need an additional surgery to reposition

Both times my dr has had trouble access in my port. It does worry me as i am so new. He has got it both times but took alot of repoistioning the needle.

I went in for my first fill today, and the Dr. was unable to access my port. I have another appointment tomorrow in radiology to see what is happening, and he will try again. Is this common? Is it possible that I will have to have my port repositioned? Disappointed. Hoping for the best tomorrow.
