My doctors office just called and set my surgery date for Tuesday 7/31! I cannot believe it...I have to start my pre-op diet now...but it's high protein, low carbs, low/no suger(south beach). I'm so excite but now I have to take time off of my new job (just got a promotion from a teacher to a counselor). And then I'm not really sure what else I have to do....

Wow, Congratulations and best wishes on your appointment. Mine is scheduled for Aug 6, but my surgeon's office told me they are waiting on Anthem BCBS to approve the surgery. Hope it goes through. I've already completed all my seminars and lab tests. I have already lost the 5 percent before I had my dr appointment on Jul 10.

My waiting game begins. I pre-register on Aug 3 at 11:30am Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Band date is Aug 6 at 1:30pm.

Good luck! I was told I was approved by insurance the day before I was scheduled. It was very quick turn around.
