Should I Take Vitamins Now?

In my Weight Loss Center packet it tells me to take a Centrum chewable Multivitamin every day. In one part of the packet it tells me to start taking them now and another part tells me to wait until after my surgery. My question is should I start now or wait until after my surgery? What have you all done? Would it really hurt me to start them now? Thanks for answering me. :-)

It will not hurt to start now, if you stop your regular ones. I take two flintstones a day, because we do not have the centrum chewables in this neck of the woods.

i did my Vitamins up until a week before surgery and started again a week after

all my vits are chewable (except my Iron which i have to crush)

if in doubt, refer to your surgeon or the paperwork they gave you. all dr's are different.

all the best.

I took my regular Vitamins (not chewable) until 2 days before my surgery, and began taking the chewable ones after I was allowed regular (not clear) liquids post op.

If you have questions about your physician's instructions, contact their office for clarification.

I was told to stop vitamins 2 weeks pre op (they can interfer with meds during surgery) and to resume them 2 weeks post op.

Thanks guys. I guess I will call my weight loss center tomorrow just to make sure what they want me to do. Was just wondering what you guys have done so I wouldn't have to bother the poor receptionist again. I seem to call her every other day with questions. LOL
