Just wondering how soon after surgery did you start exercise? And what kind is most people doing? Cardio?

I had surgery June 5th, and walked 3 miles June 6th. My doctor okayed me to walk an hour a day, so that's what I've been trying to do, but slowly and gently.

I started walking after my first post op visit--which was a week after surgery. I just started doing Zumba.

I lost most of my 110 lbs on the treadmill! Baby steps!

My doctor wanted me to be walking around the day after surgery. I was back to the gym on day 4. Started out 45 mins gradually moved to an hour at increasing speeds. At two weeks returned to swimming moderately a hour a day. Disclaimer I was doing an hour of swimming preop so I was'nt going from 0-60.
