My Intro

Hi everyone! I'm brand new to this journey. I had my lap band done yesterday 6-25-12. I'm actually experiencing more post op pain then I expected, but I'm trying to stay positive. I had my surgery with Dr Kim Marley in Windber PA. A little bit about me: I'm married with two little girls and I'm currently a nursing student. I look forward to learning from everyone here.

sorry to hear that your are experiencing a lot of pain I 've read some people do and some don't I have also read that each day gets a little less so hang in there rest and take your meds and try to get up as much as you can I hope you feel better soon

The pain will pass in time and welcome to our community.

Thank you all, what a welcoming community. I look forward to finding my place here.

Hi jemama I was banded on the 25/6 as well but in Australia. I have been having quite a bit of pain as well but mostly in my shoulder. I'm finding that my heat pack is helping a great deal with this and have had it on almost constantly. With my abdo pain I was discharged with panadeine forte (don't know if you call it the same over there) which has been helping alot. Can't take too much thought as it can cause constipation which is not the best scenario. Hopefully you will feel better soon and good luck...
