Rebound Headaches

I'm taking liquid Lortab for pain control. I've had a few nasty headaches today that I can't get rid of. Has anybody else experienced this? I don't want to take any more pain medicine because now it's in a vicious circle. I need help!

How long have you had your band? I had terrible headaches a the first few days postop, then they disapeared once i started solida but i had one for the last two days from hell, thought I was going to pass out from the pain. My Dr said mine were from the all of a sudden eating much less, as well as eating extremely less sugar. Its kind of like your body is in shock. I take plain tylenol for mine, fast release kind. I had taken liquid lortab the 1st one but I can't take that stuff during the day, it knocks me out

I am on day 3 post op now. The Lortab would knock me out, but then I'd wake up with a crushing headache. To top that off, I know I'm not drinking enough fluids because I'm sleeping so much. I decided not to take any more Lortab and see how it goes. I'm a little sore this morning, but no headache. I think I'll stick to plain Tylenol. Do you crush yours or are you able to swallow them whole?

Well my Dr said until I was on solids to take the children's tylenol since its liquid, you being 3days out, a pill it not a good idea. I now take pills, because I'm on reg food. I slept a lot the first 4 days post op, then stopped taking the lortab. I had pain, but it wasn't unbearable. I hope you feel better. Try to drink as much as you can
