Hi-this is my first blog and am anxious to get my lap band on June 1. I started the process in Oct. 2011 and after 6 weeks of nutrition classes and a psych evaluation, I am approved by my insurance. I am more or less a prisoner in my own home with all this weight, knee replacements needed, lack of energy and motivation, all holding me back. Eating has always been a comfort to me after losing my parents at age 15 and helping to raise my 2 sisters and brother.Walking makes me winded and knee pains make me want to just sit around. If these are the Golden Years,I am not happy to have reached them in this condition of over 300 pounds. Reading your blogs about the weight loss, keep me focused with HOPE that I will succeed, too!
