Bandages

I changed my biggest one but I'm not sure when to take everything off. I'm considering stopping at CVS after work to pick up a box to use on them. Not sure if I need to though. Surgery was 5/11

my doc said 72 hours after to remove and I could shower.... he said the steri stiches will come out on their own not to pull...

That is also what I was told. Then when iwebt to my week check up sh went ahead and took them off and put a little bandage on one

My stitches made me crazy!!! I never had bandages just the steri strips which I was told not to remove. I showered and just didn't let the Water hit the stitches directly.

When the strips started to lift during week 2 I left them because I was told not to pull off, but when I showed my primary she pulled them right off.

But then I had these little plastic strings sticking out. My primary said they did not look like dissolvable stitches though...since my next appt with my surgeon is not until July 20th I did something crazy and yesterday I pulled on the strings...they slid right out. I panicked a little but seems ok...anyone have a similar experience?

Hello Brwnangel I noticed you added this a couple of days ago and no one has answered you. I think maybe you should call and check with you dr.'s office. My dr used glue on me, so I can't help much.
