2 Days Post Op

I am 2 days post op and feeling good! The first and second day I had horrible gas pains! I am so happy with my decision! I am not hungry at all :) that frightens me a bit because I can't get down the protein. I hate having to watch my hubby and kids eat regular food but hey this is what I signed up for! I am also having a hard time taking my meds crushed in applesauce! It's horrible tasting! I hope everyone is doing well!

Those crushed meds are a problem. I actually stopped taking one of mine because it was so horrible. I would NOT recommend doing that though. I know I am taking a risk doing it and have considered several times in the past trying to quit this particular med.

Try mixing it with SF chocolate pudding. I learned this from my sister who is a PA and has a 6 year old son who has to take crushed tablets. She told me it has such a strong taste it helps cover up the taste of the meds. I also tried the applesauce first but it was just horrid!!

Hope this tip helps!

I had percoset for pain after surgery and I would crush the pill in the bottom of a shot glass and add lemonade crystal light powder and a little water, mix, and just knock it back like a shot! Haha. It wasn't as disgusting that way, plus how hard is it to take a small shot and follow with a sip of water? It was a life saver for me, hope it helps you too!
