So... I am 3 and a half weeks post op and have my first adjustment this afternoon. It is now 11:45am and my appoitment is not until 3:15pm. Can I eat lunch like normal or should I just drink something to hold me over...? Any suggestions?!?!

I called my Dr.s office the first time and they said it's OK within reason. I wouldn't eat a Chipotle burrito just before you go in but something normal 4 hours before should be fine.

I agree a light lunch several hours before a fill would be fine for most ..

I was told to eat a light breakfast and nothing except my water until the fill, which was also in the late afternoon. Then you are normally suppose to be on clear liquids for 2 days, Puree the 3rd and go back to normal if you are ok to do so after that. Some doctors have a different plan, but thats what I have to do for my fills. Hope that helps.

I was told to actually not eat anything the day of a fill. Only liquids...but each doc is different I guess...

Basically they want the pouch empty when you go in for a fill. So if you have no restriction, it shouldn't be an issue. If you have restriction, don't eat something that will still be in your pouch when you go in. So keep it light and drink plenty of water before hand to make sure it is clear and free.
