Port Site Pain..

Ok so I am 1 month post op and my port site has been a little bit sore but nothing to slow me down. I woke up this morning ironed then the pain hit so bad I had to call in to work. I was not able to stand straight. I took some pain meds and now feel better but I am wondering what is all this pain about. I had no real pain after surgery and I have been doing great. Oh I forgot to mention I did abt 45 min on the eliptical yesterday could this be the cause?????.....

The exercise could be what triggered it but actually it may be gas. I had this happen to me recently and was puzzled because I really didn't have any gas issues after the surgery. So, I tried Gas X-and it totally went away. I was pretty nervous that something was wrong. I figured it out! :P

Thx. It also makes me very nervous because I go for my first fill tomorrow and I am soo nervous it is going to be painful..

It was probably the exercise. Remember it is sewed to your muscle. If you took some meds and it went away that is it. I get a little sore at times too. Good Luck with you fill tomorrow and don't stress.

im getting my first fill at the end of april.............my port site was the only part of me that was tender after the operation...........right after the operation i didnt have pain anywhere else............its a tad tender but the drs say that is normal...........i am hoping he tightens the band so tight i cant breathe lol............i can eat anything and it doesnt bother me so hoping the band tightening will help.

almost a year out, and I still have port pain occassionally! My doc said it's nothing to worry about, so I don't.
