If Verified, How Long?

My hubby has his first consult in a couple of weeks. Insurance has already been verified. Thoughts on how long it might be till the Big Day?!

They can verify the insurance covers WLS, but he still needs to be submitted for approval. The insurance company will decide if the procedure is medically necessary or not at that time.

Being that insurance carriers can vary in requirements, you could be looking at as little as 1-1.5 months and as long as 6-7 months.

That makes perfect sense---thank you!

Also depends on the doctor's requirements. My insurance did not have any preop diet period like some. The doctor's office however said I needed to loose 10% body weight before surgery. I had lost the weight in 3 months but had to delay surgery for other health reasons.
