My surgeon said just stop eating and drinking 8 hours before the surgery. My mom

got the Lap band 4 years ago from the same guy and back then he required her to

do the liquid diet like you are talking about. Do you have the option of getting plication?

I just got out of surgery yesterday. My insides want to be on my outsides lol : )

No my options are ROUX EN Y gastric bypass and the lap band

Sleeping beauty do a search put plication on lbt. It's lots of people doing very well with this new procedure. They add a extra step with the lap and and fold the stomach in a suture it. Helps reduce slippage and other complications of lapband. It's considered a experimental procedure now but the few studies they have done are positive.
