So Far So Good !!!

I was banded on 2.29.12! So, far I'm feeling great ! I have yet to weigh myself.....waiting for my pre-op visit with my doctor. The soft mushy food is not so bad. However , learning not to drink right after a meal takes practice. I return to work this Wednesday .

I wasn't told I couldn't have regular coffee. However, you have to be careful of dehydration with too much caffeine, so make sure to keep up your water.

You know I thought I would absolutely DIE if I couldn't drink before, after, and ESPECIALLY during my meals!!!! However now, after being banded for 81/2 months, I NEVER miss it!! What you'll find, as time goes on, is that drinking with or too close to a meal just makes everything kind of slosh around. It's very uncomfortable so you will soon, with proper restriction, not want to drink with or just after eating!! Really!!!

I wish I had some suggestions... I have been sticking with baked or mashed potatoes, Beans, low fat cottage cheese, sf pudding/jello, eggs, tried my first round of puréed chicken today not to bad, and cream of wheat. Oh and I always have a high Protein drink first thing in the morning, helps me stay fuller longer.
