    Feeling Optimistic

In 2014 my band slipped , and I a complete unfill. Of course some of the weight I lost came back, but not too much because I was still working out. Getting myself back on track has been hard. My PA suggested I have an Endoscopy to make sure the band didn't slip again. I was a nervous wreck. The doctor confirmed that all was good, and I was relieved. They added 0.25 to my band. This was my first fill since January 2015. I feel the difference. I can eat , but the fullest comes after three or four chew sessions with my meal. I'm less hungry between meals .....lasting at minimum 4 hours. I'm tighter in the mornings , so I just drink some water and then eat my oatmeal 30 minutes afterwards. I haven't weighed myself, but size 12 clothing is starting to feel loose. I also started taking different classes at the gym like Masala Bhangra and Barre Conditioning. I stop wearing my heart rate monitor, and now I just focus on the work and not the calories on the watch.

    Depressed

My doctor has not given me a fill in 3 months. I have some restriction, but the weight is not coming off. I stop eating when I get full . I had my band unfilled last February and it has been downward from there. I'm feeling really defeated with this whole process. Now she wants me to keep a food journal. It's very frustrating.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm feeling much better . I just need to reset my mind and work with my band and not against it.

    Depressed

My doctor wants me to start writing my intake down. If I have three meals a day with no snack I should lose something. I'm not sure what I should be living off......if I eat every 4 hours isn't this the threshold for a band doing its job ? I do workout ....been lifting weights since 2013 and I do my cardio. I don't drink soda or juice , and I do drink my water.

    Depressed

My band was unfilled due to slippage. I was banded February 29th, 2012. I started out at 262 .....lowest was 175 now back 218 since being unfilled .

    My Band

My band was unfilled February 2014. I started getting fills in May 2014. My weight has slowly creeped up since my unfill. I'm at 7cc with a 10 cc band . My band slipped at 7cc and that's why I needed an unfill . Last month when I went to 7cc , I was able to fill some restriction . My ability to eat more was limited . However, my weight did not change from my last visit . The doctor did not give me another fill, which was a bit disappointing to me. I was banded 2/29/2012. Started at 262 lbs now I'm 217 lbs .......lowest weight was 173 lbs before my unfill. At the lowest weight I was a loose size 12 leaning towards a size 10 . Now I'm a semi-tight size 12 and mid loose size 14 ( not plus size ). I'm going insane but trying to stay positive. I have been guilty of eating sliders especially at office functions. Just feeling a little hopeless from yesterday's visit ????????????

Privacy: How easy or difficult was it for you?

I was on vacation when I was banded ......I returned the next a little sore but nothing noticeable. I decided against telling people cause I work with a bunch of hens lol.....I was also going to the gym before my surgery and my weight loss was very slow so it worked out ok.

Sliders are foods you can eat without getting stuck.....like cake , chocolate etc.....the bad stuff

This is great ! I need to get my band mojo back. Was unfilled and had to start over .....this time around is much slower for me. I want 2015 to be a successful year ????. I need to get back to my gym routine, and practice better eating habits .

    My Band

Well I banded in 2012 ........lost most of my weight in 2013. Then my band slipped and was unfilled in February 2014. I did gain weight but I'm still able to fit in my post weight lost clothing ( no more plus size) . The remainder of the year has been rough. Now I'm just at a stand still . I thought I was at 7 cc but my doctor realized yesterday by band was only at 5 cc. I knew something wasn't right , and this makes sense now. So I'm looking forward to 2015 to see where this goes. It's like starting over .....but I'm thankful for being where I'm at now.

    My Band

I just found out my band was at 5 cc not 7 cc as the doctor stated. For the last two months my weight has stayed the same - no gains or losses . I really thought I was at 7cc so I was concerned about not feeling any restriction. I decided to to chuck up 2014 as a battle loss , and will gear up for a better 2015. #downbutnotout

    My Band

Omg you hit the nail right on the head . I was almost at tears when I read your post. I scared of the band slipping , and it's affecting my overall health and ability to lose weight. Slider foods are not safe only fattening. I will hang in there cause I came to far to go back.

Ready to throw in the towel

My band was unfilled in February 2014. I started getting fills again in April 2014. I exercise 4-5 days a week which includes cardio and weight training. The scale has only moved up not down. This very depressing and I have decided to remove the band. I'm very disappointed ...,.I dread going back to my fat clothes ( that I gave away ) but this is not working any more. Before my slipped , my working out and eating regimen helped me lose weight moderately . If I'm gaining weight without eating the bad stuff and watching my portions then something is wrong.

Ready to throw in the towel

I'm really practicing on chewing my food thoroughly. I believe this is what caused my band to slip before. So I'm being really mindful moving forward . Thanks for all the feedback

Ready to throw in the towel

Thank yup so much for your words of encouragement . I'm going to take a deep breath and figure all this out after the holiday. right now I'm just drinking my water and watching my food intake . What's strange is that I actually felt some restriction today when I ate .

    Band Slipped and unfilled

My band slipped and I had to get the all the fluid removed . I was experiencing discomfort with my band. It started with the late night vomiting. I really nervous about this, but know I did the right thing about letting my doctor know how I felt.I just hope I can maintain my weight. I feel really vulnerable right now.I will have to go back in 4 weeks for another Endoscopy.

    Band Slipped and unfilled

I hope your band corrects itself . Mines did and I was very happy. I'm working harder to take the weight off as well . Please keep us posted on the outcome

    Band Slipped and unfilled

I've never used MyFitnessPal. I will look into using it. I thought I could track via in my head , and obviously that's not working . I started looking into different exercises and increasing my the current weights I lift . I also want to start running . When the band slipped I was not able to eat right , which made me lose weight faster. Now I just have to fight a little harder. I'm grateful I didn't need another surgery do to the slip. I need to move on, and stop looking at the past.

Also I'm always bloated for no reason.....this crazy cause it didn't happen before . I do drink water and stay away from carbonated drinks at all times

    Band Slipped and unfilled

I started getting fills again after my band slipped . I have not lost any weight . I was 172 before they took the fluid out , and now I'm 209. I eat my three meals no snacks and workout 5 days a week .....including weight training. I went from a woman's size 18 to a misses size 12 or 14 depending on the cut. This is really depressing ......I think the band has stop working for me. Before the slip my band was 7cc now it's at 6.25 , and I'm not filling much restriction. I feel like all the weight is slowly coming back with a vengeance . I'm lost Please help !!!

    Band Slipped and unfilled

I went back to the doctor for my second endoscopy , and the band is back to good . Of course , I gained 16 pounds but I'm also weight training ....so maybe some muscle is in the numbers . They started to fill my band again . I'm just happy I didn't need another surgery ....that was my biggest concern. You have to be honest with yourself during this lifetime journey. If something feels wrong please share it with your doctor. I was well on my way to a size 10 before this happened ...but I'm still fitting nicely in my size 12 without compromising my overall health. I've truly learned the meaning of "Listen to your body".

    Band Slipped and unfilled

My food was constantly getting stuck and I was vomiting in my sleep. Water was even hard to drink. ...I knew something was wrong. As much as I like being a size 10 I wanted to be healthy as well.

    Band Slipped and unfilled

My doctor didn't say anything about a liquid diet . I just been watching my portions and drinking water like a fish. I do feel a lot better and no vomiting episode's so far. The PA who took my fluid out stated she believed the band would adjust itself or the doctor would have ordered surgery . I was banded 2.29.12
