I failed :(

Hi All,

My surgery is scheduled for this Monday and I have failed at the pre-op diet. I have consumed all of the Protein in the world but instead of eating the one a day Smart one meals I have been eating things I wasn't supposed to, such as Asian style chicken and Broccoli with Rice, pizza and creamy Soups :(. I know it sounds horrible but I honestly haven't been overeating I just haven't been eating right. Should I cancel my surgery or is there a chance I can still shrink my liver? If so, I will have 3 days to do it. Please help!

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, by Dr. Benjamin Schneider. This Wednesday- getting excited/nervous!

How about you?

**Never mind- I saw you are at BIDMC too and two days ahead of me! Who is your surgeon?

my liquid pre-op was just 2 days long, thank goodness but i also had to drink citrate of magnesia for surgery prep. i ate ALOT of jello in the pre-op, lol and ramen noodle broth.

Good for you and it is good you were up front with your doctor. Nothing worse that being cut open for nothing. Then being stuck with a huge bill afterwards.

Dr Jones is my surgeon, I knew you diet sounded familiar lol

Nicole, hope all is well with your surgery! I am in the process with other doc visits before I even get a surgery date. Probably in January. I prefer to NOT have to deal with the liquids, etc....smack in the middle of December. I want to start the new year out with a start to a new me. :0) Until then, I strive to follow my Weight Watchers plan. I wish you all well.

that is great news. honesty is the best policy. great job on the 12 pound weight loss and i wish you the best during your surgery.
