Be careful...I started to excersize 2 weeks after my surgery and then I found out yesterday that my port had flipped and the doctor wasnt able to give me a fill...I need to have surgery in two weeks so he can sew it back into place...I started out b walking, then doing the elliptical, sit ups and etc...

Other than walking and normal activity, please wait to exercise until your 2wk post op check up. This will give your stomach time to heal.

Walking is ok for now- infact it's great. However, you should get clearance from your surgeon before doing anything more strenuous. I didn't start working out until like the 4th month so I don't know how long my doc. would have wanted me to wait.
