Restriction varies throughout the day

I was banded in February, and have had six fills.

I lost 50 pounds so far.

I am finding that in the morning, I can barely eat anything.

As the day progresses, I can usually eat more.

It seems to vary from day to day.

Sometimes, in the evening, I can eat far too much if I want to (I usually do, or I wouldn't need a band :) )

I had a fill two months ago to try to correct that, and it was too tight. I could barely get down shakes, and I had to have it loosened.

I'll bring it up with the surgeon on my next fill appointment, but I suspect that at this point, I really have to help things along by exerting a modicum of will power. I still have to eat slowly, even at night, which does help.

I am glad you brought this up, I am the same way. I was banded at the end of March and have 6.5 cc in my band right now. So far I have lost 60 pds, have about 40 more to go. I have learned since my last fill I cannot do anything for breakfast. It always feels like it gets stuck in the morning. I have been only drinking a protein shake and coffee in the morning. Then try to do something light like tuna, deli turkey, or chicken breast for lunch. Then at night I have to stay away from breads or anthing like crackers. They fill me up and I don't want to eat my protein. I enjoy the restriction that I have now. I am suppose to be going back in Dec. to see him. He might be wanting to put some more fluid in, but I am afraid I might be to tight then. Good luck

It sounds like at your current fill, you are limited to a fairly small amount even in the evening.

That is encouraging. I'll have to try to get there at my next fill.

Thanks
