Pureed vs mushie

I can advance to my drs stage 2 diet which is pureed. The next stage after that is mushies. Everywhere i search for pureed food ideas i get what seems to me to be mushies (refried Beans, ricotta, cot cheese). The examples my dr gives are applesauce, yogurt, pudding and baby food. Anyone else have any other pureed food ideas?

You can have pureed or strained soups also. I ate a lot of soup during that stage. Sugar free fudgesicles were my best friend too =)

I was all about puree'd strained soup. It was hot and satisfying. Definitely better than just eating cold pudding all the time, although I did eat a lot of that too, and fruit smoothies.

Creamed soups, thin mashed potatoes, thin oatmeal or cream of wheat....pretty much anything without lumps that is a consistency that can go through a straw.

puree your mushies, so that it's liquid. If you want to add a little Water or milk, that's fine.

This way you wont just be stuck with a few things.

Also, when you go to the store, you might want to consider boxed sugar free pudding. There is a larger variety then the cups.

I loved Pistachio at that stage. It was good !

Don't forget your Protein shakes.... :D
