Hello!

Hello:

My name is Traci. I have made the decision to have the Lab Band surgery, after months of research and speaking to my neighbor (she was banded in 2007) I have been losing and gaining weight for the last 9 years. For the last 2 years, I cannot seem to lose, only gain.

After researching the Bariatric providers in my local area (I live in Killeen, TX - Ft. Hood), I decided to go with Scott & White in Temple, TX. I think I made a good choice from the reviews that I have read. I saw my PCM on 9 September and after a few issues, my referral to Scott & White was approved on September 19th. I will go to the Seminar on Thursday, September 22nd, which is the first step in their process. I have an appointment for the Psyche Eval on Thursday as well ( I have heard the Eval is 3 hours long) I plan to attend the Lifestyle Change Class and their Support group which are two additional requirements for the surgery.

I guess I will find out any additional requirements when I am contacted for my appointment, I am just trying to get ahead of the game, so my wait will not be very long. I am excited and nervous about the surgery , not sure if that is possible :) !

Look foward to interacting and staying in touch with everyone!!

Wow...I was referred to this Counseling Center by the WLS nurse. There is a 500 question test as well....interesting isn't it?

Hello Traci,

I live in the Killeen area.

My psych eval was about 30 to 45 minutes of talking to the psych. Then I was placed on a computer to answer questions that had nothing to do with weight loss surgery.
