Cheater Cheater BAD FOOD EATER!

Recommended Posts

Ugh, So I just had my surgery on 9/7/11 and I'm basically 10 days post op. I was doing good, getting my shakes and Soups and I lost 20 pds since surgery. My only bad thing was today was a family reunion and I ate chicken lo-mein. I had a plate of it and it was killing me going down but I couldn't stop. I kept doing it. It sucks because yesterday day 1 of it I had so much strength, I ate nothing there and today I broke down I pigged out. I'm really worried that I might have stretch my band or slipped it or hurt myself because I was being greedy. I won't do it again but any advice?

I'm sure you will be fine. At this stage you don't have restriction so I don't think you have done damage. Just get back with the program.

I just had my surgery on 9/12 and today was the first day I felt normal and I was a little hungry so I tested my limits.....ate a few chips, crushed up crackers in my blended soup......don't beat yourself up. We are just at the beginning and this is not easy. This won't be the first or the last time we mess up and while we would like to try and stay as on track as possible......we are going to slip. GET IT TOGETHER GIRL (that's for both of us)....WE CAN DO THIS!!

Don't beat yourself up too bad, you are learning. Heck, we are all still learning. I test my limits more than i should. you are fine, we are human and we are not perfect. Would not need this forum or the lapband if we were perfect.

Just pick yourself up and move on. :)

Don't feel so bad, I had my surgery the day after yours on the 8th and I did the same thing last week. I ate a few bites of chili Beans and baked potato and I couldn't eat another thing for 2 days. I was miserable and beat myself up because I gave into temptation. Luckily, I have great friends that have had this surgery and they reminded me to go back and drink the shakes and Soup.< /p>

such good advice, and yes, WE ARE DOING THIS!!

Tell me I can do it vanilla Honey--that helps so much somehow, LOL!!

Its so hard to change bad eating habits, isn't it?

Right now, (SURPRISINGLY to me!) I am kind of at the point where I am afraid to try anything. I should be able to add soft foods, but passed all weekend, for fear that my appetite would over take me and I would just lose control and eat everything!! I have probably been eating too many sugar free fudgsicles--4 a day--but I have to keep reminding myself that is a lot better than polishing off half a tub of FULL FAT ice cream every night like I used too.

but, yes, WE CAN DO THIS!!! :D

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
