September 16, 201114 yr Hello, I had my surgery on tuesday. I am showering today for the first time since. I was wondering, what would feel more soothing and less hurtful on my incisions? A hot shower or a cold one? Thank you!
September 16, 201114 yr Hi! Congrats on your surgery! I just used the same temp I typically used which is on the warmer side. It felt fine. Good Luck!
September 16, 201114 yr Stick with luke warm or warmer , that was best for me, my surgery was last friday, today is one week! I asked when I could swim and they said not until completely healed and no scabs. The shower will make you feel better, and you will rest better. Good luck!
September 16, 201114 yr Yes it will get better, where is your pain? mine was in my shoulders from gas, my poor husband i tried everything from my backside up in the air on all fours to elavated head to feet, but i can tell you the more you move the better those pains will get. i am sevend days today and while im not ready for a foot race i am walking up and down staris out of the bed all day and getting back to normal. i have been taking short walks with husband in neighborhood. Hang in there girl, WE are gonna make it! Thank you both and greenjean, does the pains lessen? I feel so crappy
September 16, 201114 yr Author Okay thank you very much! My pain is in my shoulder and where my port site is. I'm also very naceuous and dizzy
September 16, 201114 yr The first shower today was very nice. Even though I couldn't do the scrub scrub that I normally do, just washing my hair and getting clean was a super good feeling. Tomorrow I plan on facing my apt steps and going outside to walk. So tired of just walking around inside the apt.
September 16, 201114 yr Author I know! I'm soo bored just walking around my apartment. The day I came home I walked up the stairs but haven't been down them yet
