I just went to my first meeting 08/23, I have an appointment with my doctor 09/16. What happens on the first visit with the physician and were do we go from here?

every doctor is different. you have not been banded yet have you? mine actually went fast, i was a fortunate one that my insurance did not cause any problems. I went to the seminar March 10th, met with the surgeon march 17th for consultation, and had my surgery April 21st.

Everyone is different but it is typically a consultation. the doctor will sit down with you and possibly talk about your history and what type of surgery you are looking to have. They will talk about the risks and benefits....yada yada yada. Then you will most likely get the preop testing requirements, which most doctors have.

Just visit your medical practitioner and follow what he/she suggested. And take full information about your surgery, cost, benefits, coverage and all.
