Two different diets

I got a post-op diet from my surgon that says i should do clear liquids for one to seven days and then move to full liquids & protein shakes on days eight to 14. But the post-op diet i got from my doctor that i was working with before the surgery says i should do liquids day one to three and then thin liquids and protein shakes on days for to 14. I'm confused.

Do these doctors work in the same practice-Like, maybe you were seeing one doc, but another one in the practice did yuor surgery? If not, I would say listen to the surgeon, he's the one that does these surgeries on a weekly basis.

But, at the same time, I did not do clear liquids. I was straight on 4 oz of Protein shake 5 times a day.... plus anyother non calorie, non carbonated, liquids....

I'm really npt sure if they are in the same practice. I got my consultation with one doc & my surgery from another. From now on my appointments are with the first doctor. Thanks for your response.
