  1. i want to take dance classes wear heels buy smaller sizes (i've already gone from a 20 to 16) fold my legs close to my body and pull a shirt or sweater over them not look like the zero in number 10 when i go out with a skinny guy have smaller hips, butt & thighs
  2. i felt like that the first few days after surgery. i've been banded for a month now. i don't feel like that anymore. as far as the thoughts of food. i have them all the time. i just usually say out loud all the food i want, i just list everything i want and then think about the weight i've lost and go on about my day. it's non fattening to think of food. part of why we're overweight is because of mindless eating. so think about it, then get rid of the thoughts by thinking about how good you look and how much better you're gonna look when you lose all your weight. it'll get better. good luck!!
  3. i burp quite often, it feels good. haha. but i burp when i'm either very hungry or when i eat.
  4. 4 days post & it totally feels like it's moving. It's not painful but is slightly uncomfortable at times. Feels best when i just stand up.
  5. Maybe it's because the people that are happy are out living & enjoying their life. And the upset ones are here complaining. I've seen quite a few people on here thinking the band was going to be a cure-all and are upset because they have to actually watch what they eat and work out.
  6. I'm really npt sure if they are in the same practice. I got my consultation with one doc & my surgery from another. From now on my appointments are with the first doctor. Thanks for your response.
  7. I got a post-op diet from my surgon that says i should do clear liquids for one to seven days and then move to full liquids & protein shakes on days eight to 14. But the post-op diet i got from my doctor that i was working with before the surgery says i should do liquids day one to three and then thin liquids and protein shakes on days for to 14. I'm confused.
  8. Congrats, Trish!! Keep going!
  9. I'm in. Igot banded yesterday. I go for my post op follow up tomorrow. Hopefully i get weighed so i know my exact starting weight. Good luck!!
  10. I got the same technique today. Other than the gas/air in myleft shoulder area, i feel ok. Just walking around the house as much as possible.
  11. I got banded today. I have air trapped in my body that is pretty painful but i'm slowly burping it out. Other than that i think everything (as far as the procedure goes) worked out fine.
  12. one day 'til i get banded and i'm boarderline freaking out. i called them twice to confirm my appointment today. i also got a call from my sleep studay to tell me that i have severe sleep apnea - so i'll need a cpap for my procedure. i was afraid they were going to postpone my appointment. but my machine is going to be delivered tomorrow afternoon. this is so crazy. i can't believe i'm finally getting it done. aaaah!
  13. sure, you should start a thread/topic about it! good luck!
  14. I was told slimfast has too much sugar. I use Body Fortress from Walmart. It's ok. Slight aftertaste.
