Post-op

:unsure:I was banded on 8/1 and doing well except for trying to get down the liquid Colace that I was prescribed...it tastes like a shot of shampoo! The problem is...it works! Anyone have any suggestions on making it taste better? I am new, so I hope I posted this right!

Congrats to you too! I am so glad the surgery is over and recovery has not been bad...whew!

No the surgery wasnt bad, I was up and walking within a couple of hours after my surgery, in surgery at 10 am or so and out by 11 in recovery for an hour then up to my room had an overnight stay as i had to do a barium swallow the next morning (yuck) I actually had no gas pains whatsoever, the only thing that bothers me is my port incision is very tender the rest dont hurt at all, I still cannot sleep in a bed because I am not a back sleeper and when I try sleeping on my side it pulls , so I am sleeping in a recliner

funny. I didn't have those horrible gas pains everyone speaks of either...thankfully! I am not a back sleeper either but I do not have a recliner. I am able to sleep on my right side only (opposite side of my port incision). Tried to go grocery shopping today and started to feel dizzy, luckily my hubby was there to send me to the car and finish up...baby steps!
