Yeah i was so not happy been almost a year and still only down 45 lbs, hopefully this one is the right one to fix it, cause i wont be going back for a fourth time, and if i do it will be coming out

to to revise still having problems with this band, has the surgery to fix hole in tubing had a fill of 3 cc's that day went back this month and lo and behold had nothing in my band again, went for a port-o-gram and dye fill to check it and wouldnt you know it it is leaking again in same place, so its back again to have it fixed yet again

I have the realize band so I don't have a card but I just tell the waitress, that I have had lap band surgery and ask if i can order off the kids menu everywhere ive gone has not had a problem with it

Yes just about every time with mine , as a matter a fact I just had to go back in and have surgery because at some point of him trying to find mine it got a hole in my tubing from the port to the band, was struggling to stay restricted and even with that hole in it and losing all my fill twice I still somehow managed to lose 2 lbs

so for awhile I have been noticing that I am losing restriction after xrays and trying to pull everything out of my band it was came to the conclusion that I either had a bad port or a hole in the tubing,as there was supposed to be 9 cc in my band and couldn't pull anything back so dr gave me a fill of 5 cc and had to pull out 2 cause I wasn't able to drink so I left with 3 cc in an 11 cc band the next month same thing should have had 3 cc in there and dr couldn't get anything out went in for surgery to see and low and behold there was a hole in the tubing, probably pierced from trying to find port Dr cut it pulled it up as there is excess and reattached it so now maybe I can get back on track, pay attention and don't let anyone tell you there is nothing wrong if you truly feel there is

I also had problems with using my cpap machine, no matter how much I tried to use it it caused me severe anxiety, enough to cause me to go into full blown panic attacks, went back to my apnea Dr told him how it affected me, showed him how it affected me and was told not to worry about using it, as it was causing me full blown panic attacks which at one point lasted days, they hooked me up to a heart monitor and my heartbeat and blood pressure was outta control, where it had been normal before. I am on prescribed medications for my anxiety and panic attacks, but what I felt as I tried using it was way beyond control even with medication, even after I stopped using it the panic attacks continued for days, wish I could offer some advice, I just know how I reacted to it so I understand how you feel, and my apnea Dr faxed over a message to my surgeon, letting him know about my problems using it and my surgeon was ok with me not using it and was still approved for my surgery, though I still took it to the hospital the day of my surgery, but they never hooked me up to it. I'm not saying that is what your Dr will do but as for me not wearing it was much more beneficial than wearing it. Hope things get better for you

My Dr also had problems find my port, after 2 failed attempts and a large amount of bruising poking and prodding to find it, finally went in under flouro and got my fill, just ask for a fill under flouro, if you Dr will do that

I never had the gas pains, but I was up and walking the hospital with in 20 min of coming out of recovery also

It depends there are many volumes, I know mine is a 11 cc band

My second fill is scheduled for Oct 4th, as my Dr wont do them but every 4 weeks

Just watch you portions, and listen to your stomach it will tell you when your not hungry, after my first fill i could tell a difference, but everyone is different, good luck

Tough questions but someone has to ask. I'm not asking my doctor. I dont know him that well. J If you cannot ask your doctor then there are way more issues here than just one, sorry just saying

I know me for one could do about any position, as long as neither him nor I was laying on my port incision, as I am now 1 and a half month from being banded, I have no problems at all, its almost like I have no band at all other than the fact I am down about 35 lbs and cannot eat very much at all

I found a really good Greek yogurt, it is Oikos organic Greek yogurt, the caramel is absolutely yummy, it is fat free but the only draw back is it had 16g of sugar, I buy mine at my local Walmart

Yes i came home with one also it is actually to keep you from developing phenomena for after surgery

Just got back from having my flouro fill, yay i finally got it , I am so stoked right now

They even tried using ultrasound, still could not get it, I am so scared that something happened to my port, I am only a month out, what could have happened in that length of time, I am just so upset about all of this and the not knowing why is killing me. I just keep wondering I asked the Dr and he said it was unlikely that something happened in that period of time, but its still very troublesome I am hoping when I go in tomorrow for a floro fill everything will be ok

Well today is the second time I've gone for a fill and the Dr cannot seem to access the port, so tomorrow I am scheduled to have a fill under floro. I am hoping there are no more problems anyone else have any problems like this I am one month Banded as of today

so I am 20 days post op had my first post op Dr appt on the 18th and today I noticed that I have a stitch poking thru one of my incisions, it doesn't hurt just bothersome so I placed a piece of tape over it so it doesn't get tugged on or pulled until i can call my Dr's office on Monday UGH

OK so i'm not sure exactly how to put this but here goes.....has anyone's sex drive gone up in the few weeks after surgery? Mine seemed to skyrocket about a week after surgery, and still doesn't seem to be slowing down...Wow didn't think that was possible, as I already have a high sex drive

No the surgery wasnt bad, I was up and walking within a couple of hours after my surgery, in surgery at 10 am or so and out by 11 in recovery for an hour then up to my room had an overnight stay as i had to do a barium swallow the next morning (yuck) I actually had no gas pains whatsoever, the only thing that bothers me is my port incision is very tender the rest dont hurt at all, I still cannot sleep in a bed because I am not a back sleeper and when I try sleeping on my side it pulls , so I am sleeping in a recliner

I also was banded on the 1st, cant tell you anything about what your taking, I would suggest talking to either your Dr or the pharmacist just wanted to say congrats, I am feeling better each and everyday, hope you are also

I am 5 days post op, and I feel good just a little sore at incision sites, but nothing too bad, haven't had any gas pains just always feeling like I have a burp stuck in the esophagus, I was up and walking within a couple hours after my surgery, surgery was at 10 am and by 1pm I was walking the halls, the next day I even pulled off a shopping trip for about an hour and a half... yeah me, so far only trouble I am having is sleeping on my side I just cannot seem to do it it pulls and tugs on my port incision, so until i am able to tolerate sleeping on my side again its a recliner for me, hope everyone who is getting ready to or has been banded , has little to no effects

My Dr happily did the lap band for me and I have pcos, never really heard of this before, was just told I may take a little longer to lose than someone who doesn't have it
