I had my lapband surgery on May 30, 2011. I have lost 20 lbs. (Most of it from the pre surgery liquids) and can't wait to lose more. I was so blessed that our insurance covered the surgery. It would have been impossible for me without that. I am determined not to become diabetic or die from heart disease. I love my family too much to go too soon.

20 lbs thats great! I was banded June 9th and can't wait to start losing. My insurance covered mine also, which i have 4 kids and would not have been able to get it without insurance either.
