  1. Do any of you getting hiccups if you eat something without chewing enough? I get REALLY loud hiccups that last for quite a while. I have noticed the legs crossing thing , too!
  2. I have had 2 fills. Since the last one, 5 days ago, I can eat very few solids. Do fills typically loosen up? I do not know if I should wait a little and see if more goes down or go ahead and get some out. Thanks for any help!!
  3. I have only had one fill, 5 days ago. Dr had to poke around (3 times) to get the right angle. I thought it was very uncomfortable but didn't make me cry. I am kind of a wimp but I survived. I was told that the rest of my fills will be better because there will not be any inflammation. If a wimp can do it, you can, too!! Good luck and congrats!
  4. Thanks for the replies. I was freaking out a little bit. I PB'ed at least 15 times and my chest hurt so much. I thought I had slipped my band. I thought ARby's would be ok because it is sliced so thin but I was wrong....
  5. I was banded on May 30. I had my first fill on Friday. I have had no problems. I tried to eat just the roast beef from Arby's (no bread) 5 hours ago and have not been able to keep water down since. My chest is tight and achy. Has anyone had this problem before? Is it something I should call the after hours dr for or is it ok to wait until tomorrow during business hours?
  6. Congratulations! Someday, i will be joining you...
  7. Is it just the money they are worried about? As long as you know that the band is a TOOL not a cure, you should be ok. I have just started this journey, so I do not have a lot of answers. I know for me, the band has been wonderful. I have lost 20 lbs, so far. I have not been able to do that on my own EVER.
  8. I would call the doc to see what they say. If you do not have a fever, I do not think there would be a problem.
  9. I was banded on the same day as you. How are you doing now? Did your pain get better?
  10. Going for my first fill tomorrow. I can't wait because I have been using up all of my will power to not pig out. I am nervous though!
  11. I was on the liquid diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery and had this problem the entire time. Maybe it will go away when you gets solids. If you are worried, give your doc a call.
  12. Have you been stressed about something? I have always used food as a "coping" mechanism.
  13. I was banded on May 30. I get my first fill this Friday. I have had no problems. In fact, I feel almost like I did not have surgery at all. I can't wait to feel restricted and get going with this weight loss!
  14. I feel the same way. I am eating smaller meals but not because they fill me up but because I am afraid of doing something to mess up the surgery. I was banded May 30. I still have a week and a half before my first fill. My weight loss has stopped. I lost on the shakes before the surgery but the thought of going back to those makes me depressed. I thought the surgery was my beginning but now I feel like I am getting ready for the beginning. I hope it gets better!
