When will the swelling go away?

I had surgery on the 31st of May and between the pre and post op diet I've lost nearly 15lbs (woohoo!) but at the moment I'm still not fitting into my pants because my stomach is still so swollen and bloated. It's just from the surgery cause the day before surgery they fit fine. But how much longer before this swelling and bloating subsides?

I had my surgery May 25th and I'm still bloated and swollen. Sometimes I feel bigger in my stomach than before surgery and I've lost almost 30 lbs. It's crazy. Dr said it would take some time to go down. He told me it's from gas they use to inflate your stomach and then also from cutting into the muscle wall...it just causes it to swell. I'm with you though, I hope mine goes down SOON!! Blahhh Lol :) Good luck!! ;)

A question: are you walking? Walking is the best way to get the bloat to go down. Swelling from the incisions may take anywhere between 2-6 weeks, depends upon the indvidual and how their body responds to being invaded and healing time varies.
