Extremely Discouraged

Hi Bandsters,

I need some help!!! I have been banded since Sept 2009 and have lost 60lbs in 7 months then got pregnant. I gained back 22lbs during pregnancy and since having my baby Feb 1, 2011 have not lost a single pound. I have no restriction and can eat whatever I want and believe me I do!!! I can't seem to stop eating all the foods that we are not supposed to.

How does one get back on the band diet??

I had a upper GI and they can't even find my band?!?! How is this even possible?? I'm wondering if it's beginning to erode? I have an appointment next week with my surgeon but I would at least like to get my eating under control and back on the band wagon before the appointment.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

Hi,

I'd suggest 100+ grams of Protein shake per day and a ton of Water. Force yourself to have 5+ shakes per day. It should calm things down.

Good luck

Doing just shakes for 2-3 days might kick things off. In additon, once you go back to solids, I would focus on eating the right things- low carb/low fat/high protein. Lots of lean meat and non-starchy veggies. I eat eggs and or low fat sausage for breakfast. Also, if your not working out I highly reccomend you start. It has so many benefits, just one being weight loss. I hope they figure out what's going on with your band soon. Very strange they couldn't even find it. Best wishes!
