Banded on May 19th

I was banded just yesterday, and did very well. I am in very little band from incision and such. But I seem to belch constantly, just like I drank a big swig of soda or something. After I belch yu would think I would feel better but I don't it is like I can feel a bubble go down my back and it hurts. Anyone know what this is all about? Since coming home today I am drinking very little cause it seems to hurt so much. Thanks, MIchele

Hi there, I was banded on Tuesday the 17th and had the same problem!!! it seemed like there was no end to burping!!!! Mine has finally subsided for the most part. I chewed a lot of tums lol.

Hi, I was banded on the 11th. First time surgery ever. It went seamlessly. Saw the Dr today for the first Post-op visit. Incisions look perfect. Pain is from the port and Gas.

The gas is from the inflation of your abdominal cavity for the procedure. It provides a space to make the procedure easier. It can take up to a few weeks. Others I've heard say a couple. I still have the pains, which seem to mostly migrate to my left shoulder and back.

Hope this helps.
