sick and constant hiccups

I think I have the flu or something. All day I've been nauseous and running to the bathroom to use the toilet. (sorry!) On top of that I have this terrible pain in my stomach and I've gotten the hiccups 3 times. Each time lasting 30 minutes or more. Anyone know what we get hiccups from? Or whether it's related to illness or anything of the sort? Thanks for any information. =)

Hiccups on regular basis could mean you are filled too much. It is one of the signs my doctor has us look for when assessing if we need a fill or not. Did you get a fill recently? Do you think this might be the case for you?

When I first got banded, I had the hiccups for a solid week. It eventually went away. If I recall, my doctor told me that you can get hiccups if you eat too much too fast.

No I haven't had a fill recently. My last fill was March 25th or somewhere around there. I don't believe I even need a fill right now but I had never gotten hiccups before yesterday and they lasted sooo long. Another thing is that I was hardly eating yesterday because I was so sick. I had to force myself to eat and could only eat a little less than 1/2 a cup. So I don't THINK it was me eating too much too fast. =(
