Hello to all -- I am new to these forums but not new to the discussion forum process. I am in the run up stages for lap band surgery and a little nervous but am following the rules as I kow them so far..... the funniest one to me is the need to lose weight before the surgery.. if it was that easy I would not need the surgery, but so far have dropped about 15 lbs in about 2 weeks so I am on my way...... look forward to chatting

I am new to this particular forum all together, but am excited to start this journey. I have completed all the pre-surgical requirements and now I am waiting for insurance approval! Praying it comes through. Although I am not considered the 'typical' surgical candidate I find some of the pre-surgery meetings negative but I am pushing through. I have gained about 60+ pounds up/down over the past 8 years and have not been able to get it off. I am ready for this journey and to regain my life and self esteem back!!! I have a great network of support from friends so I know I can do it!!

Nice to see another new face..... good luck..... you can do it... I have literally been gaining weight since I started my job 22 years ago.... about almost 200 lbs from when I started and now it needs to go away..........
