I had it about 2-3 weeks out and thought it was from the air that was trapped. I am sure part of it was but I also got horrible pain, like I wanted to die, from.....overeating. It is not normal overeating like before, piece of pizza here, bag of chips there, but like, take an extra bite and be in pain overeating. You can google it. It relates to "referred pain" because of the phrenic nerve. Do not be concerned though, once I realized what it was I have not been uncomfortable since.

But,...for you most likely now, it is the air trapped. Keep trying to walk. It helps. Also, use a heating pad.

My surgeon told me it can last anywhere from 6-8 weeks. I'm 5 weeks out and still have it occasionally, but not all the time.

I'm about the same as the above poster. I'm almost 6 weeks out and still get it from time to time. It does goes away though.

I have only had my band about two weeks - There will be a day here or there that I don't have any shoulder pain and then the next day its intolerable. Hopefully it will be gone soon but by the sounds of things it could take a few weeks.
