Newbie :)

Hello everyone! I have been reading some of the posts and looking at the pictures. I sure wish I would have known about this site before surgery! I was banded on 12/5/05 in Houston by Dr. Felix Spiegel.

Welcome, and congratulations on your banding! By now you're on solid food, right? Do you have any restriction or do you feel like you didn't have surgery at all? Are you itching for a fill yet?

Nice to meet you and we look forward to sharing your journey!!

Solid food yes....restriction yes! I had my first fill on 1/5/06. Solid food has been a touch and go situation...like trial & error. As of today, I have lost 23 pounds.

Welcome. I was banded on December 1st and i have lost 20 pounds to date. I also have had my first fill 1-12 and have some restriciton with that. Good doing on your loss and keep up the hard work. Chat again soon. Criss

I just happened onto your site today. I read some of the other posts and found them to be very interesting. I was banded in Mexico on November 23, 2004. My band life has been great, very few, if any complications. I needed an unfill once because i was wayyyy too tight. I'm still very tight in the am by the way. Anyway, to date I've lost over 70lbs and I could not be happier. I have only told two people in my life about the surgery, so I am always looking for outlets to talk about my experiences. :)
