Just banded on 03/29/2011

Hello~My name is Tammy. I am a newbie here. I have read sooooooo many posts from this site. Post-op and Pre-op! I have found so much wonderful advice.

My lap band is going pretty good. I have a lot of gas, especially at night, but it's not too bad. My biggest worry is that my incision is oozing this bloody liquid and the skin around it is very red and warm. The Doc says this is common but I don't feel too good about it. Anyone else had this problem?

Hey Tammy, I'm new also. My name is Melonie and I was banded March 30th. I am bruised and have some red areas with just a small amount of drainage. Today is the first day I have been hungry and also my first day back to work. My stomach has growled all day. Can't wait for some cottage cheese or something thicker than Protein shakes and Soups.

I have had some stomach growling going on today. I can start the mushy stage tomorrow but I am really nervous about it. I don't think I ever want to eat broth ever, ever again!

Hi,

My name is Andrea and I was also banded on 03/30. Today was also my first day at work and for the most part is was good but I was really drained by the end of the day. I think it will be better tomorrow. I am so sick of the shakes, jello and yogurt. I cheated tonight and had some green Beans  . They went down fine and I feel so much better. I am going to call the Doctor tomorrow and see if I can officially start the mushy"s early.

Good Luck on your Journey!!!!!!:)
