There's a thread around here that has over 200 reciepies...someone sent me the link yesterday! Let me find it

Try that...good luck!

You can add SF Jello or pudding powder to any of the shakes and not change the protein in them-you only add a few calories but get alot of different flavors. Also Google "eggface" she has a ton of recipes on her website including Protein icecream that was a lifesavor for me when I was on full liquids and the pre-op phase and they are completely allowed. Best of luck to you!!

I agree about sugar/fat free pudding mix really helps with the flavor. Also sugar free syrups founds in the coffee isle are very good as well. If you are allowed to make your shakes with milk; I highly recommend making Milk "cubes" with fat free milk. Put them in a freezer bag and use them 2 at a time (my measure about 1/3 cup milk). Gives protein shakes a nice icy/frappe like texture. Additionally you can try spices like cinnamon or extracts (mint etc). For premade soups I added Mrs Dash non salt spices before heating. The spices would reconstitute and give a nice flavor.

Mmmmm, I got one I still use.

1 banana

1/4 of a cantaloupe.

5-6 strawberries

1/2c bluberries

1/2 orange

big handful of baby spinach ( you wont taste it I promise)

1 packet stevia

4 or 5 ice cubes and 1/2 cup Water

Blend in your blender,,its thick or thin how ever you want it and alllll natural, I promise it will fill ya up. And its so good for you.

Gotta love it.

so I'm on day 6 of my liquid diet and I caved and ate 2 hard boiled eggs for Breakfast and pb&j for dinner :(... it's not agreeing with my stomach at all..i hope it won't jeopardize my surgery..i'm having hard time with diet..headaches and fatique..prior to today i'd only had Water, Jello, and chicken broth..i'm back on the wagon tomorrow, I was just feeling starved and weak..besides the stomach ache I have now..i feel much better..i haven't weighed myself yet, but I can see a change in my face and my clothes are a little loose..

does anyone know if this will get in the way of my surgery next week?

I would doubt that would get in the way of the surgery. Especially if you have been really good. We all make mistakes. Just get back on the wagon tomorrow. 2 hard boiled eggs and a PB&J are hardly a hamburger and fries!

Thank you for the recipes link!
