Post Op Pain

I had my lap band surgery 5 days ago and am still taking pain meds and still feel pain around my surgery site (especially the port.) Is this normal? I was hoping to be better by now. Also, I'm starting to get hungry. I was hoping the hunger would come much later and pain would stop much sooner. Do you all think this is about right? I think I'm just anxious to start losing and exercising, but wondering what other banders are feeling.

Yes the pain is normal but everyday its sooo much better. I thought I had made a big mistake every time I tried getting up and down out the bed. But it truly gets better . Unfortunately the hunger does come quicker than expected. I need tips on that also.smile. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY.

How long did you have pain around the port site? I am 9 days out and still have pain. I think I over did it today. I had a little of my pain meds left so that helps some.

Thanks!
