Hey Princeton,

Today is my 5th day. I have to say I feel much much better. Hang in there your only 2 days behind me maybe you will be much much better in another 2 days.

Today is the first day I am really up and around comfortably. Still healing but feeling really well. Honestly I am just hungry. Sticking with the plan. I will be rooting for you to do the same.

What is making the recovery harder than you expected? What did you expect versus what you are experiencing? I am hoping to be banded this summer....

Hey Tammy,

Honestly I never had any surgery besides a c-section. Because I didn't have experience, I was told laperscopic (forgive spelling) isn't so bad. Therefore I thought I would basicly feel nothing. LOL! Silly me. The surgery went great. and really I barely feel the actual insicions. But there is this very uncomfortable feeling coming from my stomache up to my throat. Not sure what it is. It actually hurts. It could be gas. If so it's a gas pain I have never felt before. I also have been very weak. This is probably personal to me and my body. I think between the surgery, pain killer, and the fact that I am anemic and ofcourse got my period the day of the surgery this weakness could be much worse for me then others. I don't want to turn you off, just be prepared for some pain and discomfort. I do have to say today is day 5 for me. I am feeling much much better. I have been up and around today alot. I stopped the pain killer yesterday. I only took it at bedtime last night and haven't had it yet today. Feeling really good today. The only thing now is that I am hungry because I am on the liqued diet. But I am hanging in there, sticking with the plan. I know as I slowly am able to eat things will get better.

I hope all goes well for you. Keep in touch.

Cindy

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
