Moving quickly without exercise

I got banded 11/27/2010 and in 4 months i've lost 53 lbs. Im so excited with my success. And thats with me not exercising not even one bit. I will be getting a gym membership to motivate myself because i want tosee more lbs falling off.

I did the same thing! I didn't start exercising until I had 80 lbs off. It really worked, and it kept me from hitting a big plateau. I never would have kept losing without exercising.

That is awsome you are going to join a gym. Start out slow and gradually increase your duration/intensity. Excersise will surely help the pounds to continue to fall off. Never mind the improvement to your cardiovascullar system et.... Nice job!

I was banded in January but haven't lost as much as you have - congrats on that. I haven't done any exercise either, but that is by my arthritis doctor's orders. He told me to wait until I get under 200 pounds so there will be less force on my knees. I'm at 210 now, so ten more pounds and I will have his approval to start walking. I can't wait - I want so badly to take my granddog for walks but I'm scared to death I'll get halfway around the block and be in so much pain that I won't be able to walk back home.
