Introduction

Hi everyone!

My name is Shannon and I was banded 1-11-2011. Since then I have lost roughly 30lbs. My surgeon was Dr. Metz

and I will be forever grateful to him and his staff for the help they have given me!

I have been large all of my life and have tried the pills, shakes, stravation, diets and all of the fads as well. Nothing seemed to help

or if it did it never worked very long because it always came back! Weight Watchers would work for a while but the difficulty there

was that I was still allowed sugar and that has always been my down fall. I have a sweet tooth that won't quit. Now I find myself

reading labels with more caution and watching what goes in & how often. Before surgery my knees hurt constantly and exercise

was difficult, now moving is easier but the weather still plays havoic with my knees and can make certain movements difficult.

My pre-surgery weight was 294.2, so I still have a long way to go! So far no major set backs and I hope it only gets better

from here on out!

Shannon
