Undissolved sutures? HELP!!!

Has anyone else had an issue with undissolved stitches? I had single incision placement on 2/28/11 and I wonder how long they are supposed to be here. It looks like everything is closed up. Though he did create the ugliest belly button on earth!!! I have had 2 other surgeries and the stitches did not dissolve, one being a epeseiotome (sp) where they had to go back in and cut them out, yikes. And the other was a gall bladder removal.

How long has anybody had them last?

External sutures are usually removed about 10-14 days post op. Usually they won't use dissolvable sutures in the skin. At least this is true in animals. I was closed with dermabond, so I can't say for sure
