I have been banded almost a year. I've had set backs and have not had the mental (emotional) capabilities to stay motivated.
I am ready to change all that, but one thing that bothers me still is the port site. I had an illness (we assume) that had me throwing everything up for a week solid, so I had an unfill. I just wanted to be relieved so I let the PA do the unfill. He manhandled my port and now I feel like when I first got banded, like it's sticking out it's site. And if I bump it, it is sore.
I have an appointment with the doc next week, but scared to have anyone mess with it, either for fills or anything.
Anyone have a similar experience, or have any suggestions? It's not "ouch, I can't stand it" but I definitely know it's there!
