Burping

I am 9 days post op and eating mushies...I find that I am burping a lot and they are long burps...think Willy Wonka and the bubble machine scene.

Is it b/c I am eating to fast? Or gulping drinks? I have been trying to eat slower and take little sips but haven't been very successfull yet. I must be sucking in too much air. I am not as mindful as I should be when I eat.

Anyone else having this problem.

Also if my band is empty is there any restriction on my stomach? I do feel full faster and def can't eat as much as I would normally eat.

Thoughts?

It's normal! Eating slower and less helps a bit, but I still burp all the time. It's from the surgery, they blow up your stomach with air so the doctor can get in their with the cameras and do the surgery.

I had surgery in 06, and am still burping. You have new plumbing ! The air has to be able to flow free, or you would feel uncomfortable, maybe stuck. So a good long hard burp that you can feel from the bottom up is a good thing.

So I guess you better get use to it.
