Just wondering ... what exactly do they do at the pre op appointment? Mine is the day before surgery and they told me it would only be an half an hour to 45 min.

I had blood taken, a chest rad, an EKG, and was given a machine to breathe into to open my lungs. Other than that, I was just asked a bunch of questions and given some hospital info, and they filled out paperwork for the hospital. I was told it would take and hour and a half and it only took like 45 minutes.

They took my blood, got a chest X-ray and did an EKG. Those things didn't take long, but I also had to answer all of the questions for paperwork. After that, they gave me some books with good info for surgery day and post op. I would say I was there for about 45 min to an hour.
