call your physician's office now. check your protein intake along with your fluid intake. take care and let us know how you are doing

Yea more fluid and make sure you are having more than 60g of protein.

My doctor said I'm not allowed to have any protein this week! Only water, clear juice, and broth - hence the dizziness. I don't want to pass out while teaching :(

He made it very clear no protein until Friday. It is weird huh? I am allowed to put Special K protein water packets in my water though so I will try those.

I had the same instructions--clear fluids (not protein shakes) for 1 week post-op and I felt pretty dizzy. The special K protein things are a good idea. Also, lots of sleep and fluids. It will pass! Good luck!

i had the same problem about 4 days post op. i called my doctor and without hesitation he told me to move to full liquids! its a combination of a sudden drop in the amount of calories youre taking in along with not drinking enough fluids! your blood sugar is probably low. if your doc said no protein and still wants you on clear liquids try drinking some diluted apple juice. but be sure to still drink plenty of water as well! good luck!

I am Day 3 post op and am feeling really weak and dizzy and I have to work this week! Please give me suggestions on how to not feel like I'm going to black out!

I am day 4 post op and had similar issues. I added 2 cups of low cal gatorade and it has helped quite a bit
